Tasigna Update

Onder Law continues the fight to win compensation for those hurt by the chemotherapy drug, Tasigna. Tasigna was intended to treat chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), a disease which will have over 8000 new cases diagnosed this year in the United States alone. Novartis, the company that manufactures Tasigna, rushed the drug to market in order to maintain profits when the patent ran out on their previous CML drug, Gleevec.

The side effects of Tasigna have been devastating for the patients that have been treated with it. Tasigna causes rapid-onset, severe atherosclerosis which typically first shows symptoms of tingling and pain in the arms and legs. But it gets much worse than that, potentially resulting in heart attacks, strokes, amputations, and even death. It’s an awful case of a company putting profits over people, especially since the previous drug, Gleevec, was an effective and safe treatment for CML. The Onder Law Firm has continued to fight on behalf of these patients and we have begun to see some results in these cases.

If you or a loved one have experienced serious circulatory issues after taking Tasigna for CML, please call 1-800-RX-WATCH for a free consultation or visit onderlaw.com to learn more.
