A settlement has been reached in the Testosterone litigation! In mid-September it was reported that the nearly 7000 lawsuits that have been filed across the country against the companies that produce testosterone are being settled for an undisclosed amount.
Testosterone is prescribed to treat hypogonadism, a testosterone deficiency, but was often marketed for many “off-label” purposes such as combating low sex drive, fatigue, and increased body fat. Selling testosterone for these purposes boosted the companies’ profits massively but many users began complaining that they were targeted as customers without being adequately warned of the potential complications. Many men suffered heart attacks, strokes, and blood clots while using testosterone for what the companies termed “low-T”.
According to the most recent news, the final terms of the settlement are not yet finalized. As more details are made public, we will make sure to keep you informed.
